The Solanus Casey Center was built in memory of the patient and quiet man that started the Capuchin Soup Kitchen in 1929. The center includes: the Father Solanus Casey Museum, gardens, auditorium, dining room, and conference space. The trip features: 1. A tour of the Solanus Casey Center; 2. video and gift shop time; 3. Lunch (included at the center); 4. Free time to browse the gallery; 5. A healing blessing.

The On the Rise Bakery, also located in the center, is a program of the Capuchin Soup Kitchen. Established by Brother Ray, it utilizes staff who have recently been released from prison, completed a substance abuse program, and undergone baker training. They truly want to change their lives. With each baked good purchased, you are helping to support housing, training, counseling services, and self-help programs.
