This year, we're going BIG. Bigger than the Big 10! Not only are the Spartans and Wolverines in the mix, but we're opening the field to any college football team. Bring on the Fighting Irish, Roll Tide, and yes, even the Buckeyes.
This Thursday will be a dress-down day for a donation, which will help kick off our "One Night in Emerald City 2026 Auction." This event supports our School Fund, which is in vital need. It will be the ultimate fan showdown. Students will donate any amount to represent their favorite college team in full fan gear. We'll rank the college teams based on total donations. The team with the most donations will have its college flag flown all week on our school pole. Anyone can donate, so rally up your family and friends and share this link!
BUT THAT'S NOT ALL.....
We want to celebrate all the donations that come in. With that being said, as a whole, if our school hits certain money milestones, there are prizes that everyone wins! If we hit:
- $4,500 – Jeans & Spirit Shirt Day on November 7
- $10,500 – Honolulu Blue Fridays: Add a Lions top to your uniform every game weekend instead of the SMA spirit shirt.
- $16,500 – No homework, tests, quizzes, or projects during Catholic Schools Week
- $22,500 – Any Shoes & Sock Days: On the first Thursday of each month for the rest of the school year, students can wear any color/print socks with any shoes (except Crocs, heels, or slippers). For safety reasons, shoes must have a backing. If gym class is on Thursdays, students must wear tennis shoes.
- $30,000 – Teacher Swap: One afternoon during CSW, homeroom teachers switch places with any other teachers!!!!
For cash and check (payable to St. Michael School) donations, please send them in along with the donation slip with the student on October 23. Donation slips will go home with the students on Monday, October 20. You can also drop off donations at the school office. All cash and check donations must be turned in on October 23. Online donations can be made now and will close at kick-off for the Michigan v. Michigan State Game on Saturday, Oct. 25
