Thank you, Peter and Scouts

St. Michael alumnus, Peter Saval, decided to do his Eagle Service Project at his beloved school. An Eagle Project is an opportunity for a member to demonstrate leadership of others while performing a project for the benefit of any religious institution, any school, or his community.
"I joined Cub Scouts when I was 6 years old and joined Boy Scouts in 5th grade when I was 11. So I've been in Scouts just about my whole life," said Peter. "I chose to do the project at St. Michael's because I went to school there from 3rd to 8th grade, so I thought I would give back to them."
After speaking to Mrs. Kusczak, Peter selected his service. The project was to clean up the Pesce Garden and add shelves to the Phys Ed storage room. He power washed the ground and the statue of Jesus, painted the benches and table set, and assembled new flower beds along with newly planted flowers. The constructed storage shelves helped Mrs. Blackmer add organization to her supplies closet.
Thank you to Peter for all his work and for giving the school's community a beautiful place to pray.
