Divine Mercy, A Heart on Fire!
Divine Mercy is God's saving love for us in our brokenness, sinfulness, and weaknesses. God's merciful love is so great that He reaches down and restores us to the fullness of life in Him. God wants us to reach out and ask for His mercy as well as put our complete trust in Him.
"Why should Mercy matter to me? "
Mercy should matter because, without it, we cannot enter Heaven. Also, without God's Mercy to heal us, we remain stuck in our sin and sadness. God's mercy lifts us out of every misery toward the joys of eternity. He desires to lavish every gift and Grace on us, filling us with love, joy, and peace. In His Mercy, God always has more for those who come to Him with contrite hearts. This is what the season of Lent is all about, Mercy!
This Lent, we invite you to find out more about Divine Mercy. Keri Tarrant from St. Gabriel's Message is coming to St. Michael the Archangel on April 3rd at 7:00 pm in the Church. Her presentation draws from the Heart of Scripture and the revelations of Divine Mercy from France to Poland. This talk will renew your trust and hope for
our broken world. Keri is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University with a Bachelor's degree in Education and has taken classes at Ave Maria College, including Latin and Rome studies. Her studies in Mariology have come from personal research and reflection on the Mystery of Mary in the Heart of the Church and her years of formation with the Missionaries of Charity. As a layperson, she now ministers to the people of God by encouraging Marian Consecration for the work of the New Evangelization and by giving talks on Divine Mercy, Our Blessed Mother, and the spirituality of St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta and St. John Paul II.
