Bible Study

ACTS Is the Story of …

Our Church’s Earliest Moments of Evangelistic Mission

… it is written as a sequel to the Gospel of Luke, by the same author … it continues the Gospel by recounting how Jesus’ mission was carried on by his disciples, who spoke and acted in his name after they were empowered by the Holy Spirit.

ACTS is the only narrative link of the transition we possess between Jesus’ ministry to the spread of the Church beyond its Jewish origins to reach other nations.  By implication, then, ACTS describes what Jesus continues to do and teach, through his followers, even in the twenty-first century and until He returns.  So if you’ve ever wondered about your role in the Kingdom of God, then join us for our study of ACTS: The Spread of the Kingdom.  This Bible study will explore the story of the early Church in light of the Holy Spirit and demonstrates how this story is important for all who are Disciples of the Christ.

Come and enrich and deepen your faith.  Learn how the Church accomplishes the monumental task of teaching, preaching, healing and restoring outcasts with the Holy Spirit working with and through Her, and how you are also called to participate in the Kingdom of God.  Jesus did not leave His Apostles alone - He sent the Holy Spirit to guide, instruct and equip them.  Together let us deepen our faith as we learn how the Apostles continued Christ’s mission on earth … how they brought the Kingdom of God to a broken world and the love of God to the hearts of men and women through the power of the Holy Spirit.

You are invited to participate in the study Acts: The Spread of the Kingdom here at St. Michael’s Parish beginning February 10, 2025 at 6:30 pm and continuing on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month.  Our first session provides participants with an introduction to the Study – if you’re on the fence, why not “COME AND SEE!”
