Music Ministry

SMACHRAll members of the parish, both singers and instrumentalists, are invited to participate in the liturgical music program.

Adult Choir

All parishioners from high school students to seniors are invited to join the choir. Adult Choir rehearsals are held on Tuesday evenings, in the church’s choir loft, from 8 PM- 9:30 PM from September to June. We also have a women’s "a cappella" choir that rehearses from 9:30 - 10:00 following our main rehearsal. The choir sings every Sunday at the 10 AM Mass and at all major feasts of the church year.

Children's Choir

The Children’s Choir is open to all children of the parish in grades 3 - 8. The choir rehearsals take place on Tuesday evenings from 6:45 PM - 7:45 PM. The choir sings at the 8 AM liturgy on the first Sunday of every month and once a month at the School Liturgy on Wednesday morning during the school year. They also lead the singing at the Christmas Eve 5 PM Mass, Easter Sunday at the 8 AM Mass, and May Crowning. At the end of the year, they present a Fine Arts Festival showcasing some of their repertoire to families and friends. The choir also participates in choir festivals through Choristers Guild and provides entertainment for the Barnes and Noble Book Fair Night.

Junior High Choir

The Junior High Choir rehearses every Tuesday in the Music Room during their lunch period. They lead the singing at all of the school liturgies and participate in Archdiocesan choral events.

Handbell Choirs

The Adult Handbell Choir rehearses on Sundays after the 10 AM Mass. They play at the 10 AM Mass once per month and major church feasts throughout the year. The choir is also available for weddings and other services.

The Junior High Handbell Ensemble, comprised of 7th and 8th grade students, rehearses every Thursday during their lunch hour. Music reading is not necessary. Each ringer is assigned a position with two bells that are color coded, which will eventually teach them to read musical notation. They play at assigned school liturgies throughout the year, and at Christmas, Easter, and the 8th grade graduation ceremony.
